Wow - that's brutal.....but I've got a couple observations.

1. Crazy to be putting that much $$ at risk on GME in this environment.
2. Why would you be using Robinhood with that much coin?!? Surely E*Trade, Schwab or some other more established brokerage would be a much better/safer platform.....

They almost bottom ticked that force out as well.

It must have been a margin account that went way below maintenance intra-day. That's the only explanation. If that is the case, they probably have a clause in their user agreement that says they can do that.

The guy probably was compliant with the margin requirements before they raised them today, even with the drop in price. Once the margin was made 100%, which means no more margin, they could probably sell him out.

It's crappy, but when you fly that close to the sun......

These traders had almost zero risk management, didn't take profits or hedge. It was straight out, bollocks to the wall, full tilt bloody greed.
