SIMO just reported Q4 and guided 2021 revenues to be up 20% to 30% from 2020.

SIMO delivered $3.28 eps in 2020: they’ll probably do $4:80 in 2021, I guess that’s roughly 50% eps growth.

Commodity flash controllers, everybody wants them. Not many companies sell them. Good to be the market leader in the high volume low cost controller industry, with limited competition. Prices of controllers (according to news flow) going up in H1 2021.

NAND flash. Everybody wants more. Lots and lots of companies sell NAND flash. Price war. Oh dear, hard to be the small minnow in the NAND flash industry. Must spend billions on new fab, and STILL be smaller than the Korean competition. Very tough business.......don’t even mention disk drives, old legacy technology, trying to hang in there as long as possible.

Tomorrow is share price inflection point. Bye bye WDC.
