Question: My research shows that their is approximately 1 Billion ounces of silver above ground and 4 Billion ounces (troy) of Gold above ground. Can anyone verify these numbers? Silver number derived from CPM group report 1997. Gold number from Doug Casey's latest news letter. If true; I find it interesting that there is actually physically more gold than silver. Of course I do know that far more silver is mined in a year than gold. Also would like help on any signs of how a banking crisis (read run) shows up? Is there any signs before the Panic or not? The Y2K situation has my interest and feel it could drive people into hard assests again, any comments from those who know true exent of Y2K problem?
