The market esd closed from Wednesday to Friday for the Lunar New Year celebrations. Reason the Market is going up:: HONG KONG, Feb 2 (AFP) - Hong Kong shares opened 6.8 percent higher Monday on the first trading day of the Year of Tiger amid improved sentiment in the region, dealers said. The key Hang Seng index had gained 628.39 points at 9,880.75 shortly after trading started following an extended five-day break for the Lunar New Year. Dealers said sentiment was boosted by last week's gains on Wall Street as well as gains in Hong Kong stocks in London.
