Stock Search Tool
A tool to help identify stocks that meet your selection criteria.
Try WWW.Hoovers.com and click on stockscreener

Now fillin your search criteria ...............

A stock like HVSF is like a seedling ..it's not a proven company with a track record. It may grow over time ....but it could fail to thrive ...
the risk are too great IMHO.

Now back to screening ~8000 stocks.
Try this critera ...look for companies that have revenues of more than $100 million with a profit margin greater than 25% that have grown revenues more than 100% over the prior year.

This will give you a list of only EIGHT companies.

Now this type of tool is just the starting place to help seperate
the trees from the weeds. Once you've narowed down your search
criteria start your research.

I perfer to look for companies that have a proven product with projections for strong future earnings...
VVUS meets the above selection criteria and with projected 1999
eps of $2.85 in an industry that has an adverage pe multiple of ~27.
My bet is on VVUS ...being worth a lot more in the next 12-18 months.

VVUS will be higher in 1999 than it was in 1997....it's been driven down to a dirt cheap price. As soon as wall street analyst have a better confort level that the new plant will be certified on time they will revise their 1998 estimates and reissue upgrade recommendations to buy VVUS.
