Jim, in appreciation for putting an Onyx into Bloomberg, the local rep gave me an SGI bag. so every time you talk a friend into buying an O2000 or Cray, hit on your rep, and you might get that tshirt absolutly free.

Jim, as you know I recently did a 180 and went -bullish- on SGI.

Therefore as you might expect, I now think everyone should -OWN- SGI like me.

With all the angst on this thread, especially from you "$75,000 SGI t-shirt types" -ouch,ouch,ouch- I figured it would be wise to invite a few of my friends along for back-up purposes....

webcom.com

Call me an "irrational optimist" but my instincts tell me changes are in store JD. Big changes. No emotional strings attached to this Mr. Belluzzo, you see. Asset sales, lay-offs (first to go, that -leech- who called SGI a dinosaur!), re-orgs, new hires and other things that make sick stocks get better. Has a new V.P. of Sales been hired yet? Bottom-line, this stock could restore itself to mid-20's given the above happens. And I'm betting it does.

On another note...

<<...I heard somewhere that SGI was planning $20 million advertising budget for the new NT box.>>

SGI spending $40 Mil on NT roll-out, as reported in Adweek. BIG dough! Hopefully well spent. Wanna see outstanding marketing?? Look at Intel's new 3D ads on TV. Absolutely killer <imho>. Now that's how a company should market 3D to the masses. If SGI gets same kind of branding going w/ NT blitz -watch out-!
