Walt,
If you want to see a film about the ice road to Lupin ask Alan Booth of Yellowknife films about this production. He made with CBC North in 1985. He has wonderful stuff of rigs going over the portages cloaked in ice fog, headlites ablaze. A great story from a truck driver that went through the ice and how he made it out of a cab submurged in sub zero lake water. And an expaination of what the drivers have to look forward to driving in -40 weather on ice that bends and can break from the weight of their load.
I edited this production so I'm tooting my own horn when I say it's pretty riviting. Bob.

Walt,

I think the word must be getting out that the trucks are on their way because there are very large bids mounting and nobody selling at the bid.I think we're headed for a breakout! How could one tell where an individual truck was headed for?Would the truck have Winspear written all over it?
