Allen,

>>However, a couple of the vendors I spoke to said some of their customers are building systems with LS-120s in place of the floppy drives.<<

Sounds like my department at work. The IS guys are very budget
minded and slow to upgrade. They just upgraded us to windows, and
guess what they gave us ? 3.1, can you believe it ?
So, it didn't surprise me when I was told that an LS 120 was going
to be installed on 1 of the computers. Compatibility with other users
isn't an issue while installing out of date software and hardware is.

On a recent visit to Best Buy, there were Zips everywhere. I really
do mean everywhere. The removable storage endcaps on both sides
of the aisle were filled with drives. However, of all these drives
only 2 LS 120 and 2 Sparq. There were only 2 LS 120 disks on the
shelf as well.

So, I hope the retail environment is a sign of reality and not my
IS department.

Regards,

Dave
