I think Darth's smartbomb forced that Roger underground and he's missing in action, at least on SI. I'm still working on my identity on Yahoo, I need something subtle as a brick - maybe Wahoo.

Alys, I am gravely concerned that you chose to repeat (and re-post for all to see) a potentially defamatory remark that Celeryroot published a long time ago.

I believe the phrase "pumper and dumper" refers to someone who identifies a small, illiquid, unfollowed stock and accumulates a position in it. He then hypes/promotes/sells the stock to individuals, working the price ever-higher. As his last act, he sells his position out at grossly inflated prices that yield him great profits, leaving the hapless individuals with huge losses once the stock price deflates.

Only one problem with Celeryroot's damaging assertion: I owned more TCLN stock at the end of 1997 than I did at the end of 1996, more at the end of 1996 than I did at the end of 1995, more at the end of 1995 than the end of 1994.

Hardly pump and dump.

Should I turn this potentially libelous matter over to my attorneys, I can assure you Celeryroot will get the first phone call, and you the second.
