My lady friend's son just graduated from Bezerkely with a BA (Not BS) in computer science and will make $160k -$180k this year. Crazy? Yes but that's what the market will bear here. The finance/sales/marketing folks at these companies will make even more though and do everything they can to reduce the engineers' salaries. They would make a lot more without the H1B's. Sorry but I'm dubious about those numbers.....what are PhD's getting out there as new hires??
