I suppose the anger towards naked-short selling is understandable, especially to the folks who are long but as one who engages in naked short selling, I also sympathise with the sellers, for after all they are simply the mirror image of the clothed longs, both are risking capital in theory the naked short sellers are risking more and therefore have more right / preference to be in the market if we fairly rank relative merits then there be the fine details, as of now I hold both short positions of naked puts and of naked calls, one bullish-esque and the other not - which one should be outlawed? why? easy questions to answer and I do not even need to think about them, may I suggest that we outlaw naked short puts if I am long, and outlaw naked short calls if I am long :0)
