Thank-you for the clarification; the main point to consider is that Fibre will give better performance when compared to FWD-SCCI. This is why there is a big push to use Fibre... EMC and MTIC are both fibre capable. I hope I did not give the impression that MTIC is EMC's main competition, it is one one of a handful that competes with EMC. There are several other (and larger) competitors that are after EMC's piece of the pie (i.e.: HP, IBM, Nike, StorageWorks....) - if I gave this impression I apoligize
