Dan, looks like the validity of my 1998 market prediction is about to be proved one way or the other. I predicted the 1998 high to be in January or early February. The market is now in a strong uptrend. If my prediction was correct, this may be a blowoff top. But the other possibility is that I was wrong and the bull market will continue. We all need to be on our toes and prepared to rethink strategies.

You never know. Actually, I did pretty well last week. You see, my longs were beaten down during December January and my Y2K shorts and BFIT went up due to a perception of immunity from the Asian crisis. IMO it may very well be that these stocks go down this week. Now for people with a sifnificant net short exposure you are probably right.
