something to be said about the greco roman tradition

perpetual welfare & warfare, and despite appearances, a few made the decision for the many, systemically encoded, and

that both did not last long, historically speaking, and neither rose again

stxtus left out the more obvious bits, but covered self with "decisions created to benefit the rich more than the poor", that be money dilution, rising taxation / tax-farming (akin to appearance of multiple points of rising taxation all along the supply chain), forced borrowing, breakdown of unity, anti-terrorism meme

stxtus forgot about the rise of the periphery, the barbarians, terrorists, and people who can and started to say "nO"

history is a great show, on this planet, and likely no different on any other planet where beings thinking

there was a time when I watched Chinese kung fu operas when much littler, then migrated to Japanese sob stories, and now I occasionally see wife binging on Korean tales, and realising that the underlying theme is all the same ... boy meets girl, boy falls for girl, girl falls for boy, boy's widowed mother meets girl's widowed father and reconciles their long ago separation and speaks about the son they gave rise together, group dinner, realisation that something is terribly wrong, sadness, and girl gets rare blood disease, more sadness, etc etc

the movies gets the audiences of each generation every time

My joke around the home when I see wife binging on Korean soap opera, "did the girl catch the blood disease yet?"

Inescapable formulae

The words of Koheleth, the son of David, king in Jerusalem. Vanity of vanities, saith Koheleth; vanity of vanities, all is vanity.

That which hath been is that which shall be, and that which hath been done is that which shall be done; and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there a thing whereof it is said: 'See, this is new'?--it hath been already, in the ages which were before us.
