We gained the largest number of unemployed people since the 1930s. We gained record breaking deficits. We gained the first attack on the Capitol since the War of 1812. We gained a substantial increase in polarization. We gained a substantial increase in mistrust of government. We gained a large number of people in the US who are detached from reality and who believe that a narcissistic demagogue is brilliant and can do no wrong. We gained the mistrust of the countries that used to be our staunchest allies. And so much more.
