Thanks for this post. Microsoft is once again right: the free market should mean that we can contract to be a consultant if we want without governments telling us we are really employees. Its obviously not just Microsoft, many people prefer to be contracted to several different companies, either all at once or sequentially, and the companies will stop doing this if they are forced to consider everyone employees with the attendent benefits they are forced by Big Daddy Government to give whether or now we want the benefit!!!!
