speaking for myself, I met my first Black person at the age of twenty, Web was intimidating as he was big and strong as an ox, he was also one of the funniest human beings I had ever met, we got along great, I just saw him as a big guy with a great sense of humour, I didn't care what his skin colour was. We had a fire where we worked and later Web was on the safety committee, when asked by management what steps should be taken in the event of fire, Web answered, great big geezus long ones. thinking about it still makes me chuckle to this day.
