Hi Ron,

Last month I took apart the hood from my 1955 Nomad.

Drilled out the aluminum rivets of the underhood support and used my heat gun to strip out the old rustproofing.

I had two small dings and two dents. I used my hammers and dollies to lightly pound out most of them. Then drop filed them with just a tiny skin coat of bondo.

After the first coat of epoxy primer, they all disappeared.

This Thursday flying back to wet sand and spray a second coat of epoxy primer. I'll wait for warmer weather to spray black acrylic and clear on it. Going to put a new bird on it and hang it on the wall as man cave art.

I love the winter time, I restore one thing every year and display it in my old school house.

I love body shop work. Very satisfying to see things you've fixed with your hands.

Bob
