Thanks Haim. The paperweight likely not worth the bother. It was a present given me by friend who bought all the air surveillance film stock at then Clark Airforce Base in the Philippines when America decamped and processed the silver. He got the ‘garbage’ for free by paying for it when others bid haulage charge for garbage disposal. So, yes, there are a lot of silver at hospitals as well, in X-ray storage rooms. The metal seems dear at the moment, less so than Pd and more than Pt, my memory impression ... google.com
