Another driver in this bull run is the lack of shares. Since 2000, a lot of companies have merged, gone under, bought back their own shares and there have been relatively fewer IPO's. High share demand now and a low share supply. Add to that the ridiculous hedge fund "short big box, long tech" strategy. There was someone on SI that used to keep track of those numbers, havent seen him around for awhile.
