Ok, so let's do some "cherry-pickin' " from what you've seen reported ......

"SIMO predicted they will grow sales to $1 billion' ..... "if semiconductor manufacturing weren't constrained" ... "and can't fulfill them all due to these constraints" .... "SIMO's revenues go in fits and starts ' ... "SIMO is allegedly gaining share in a growing market" .... "They've been wrong before !" .... "SIMO management is trying to juice the stock price to get them to pay up" .... "Or maybe everybody suddenly wants more SIMO controllers? Who knows"

Sounds to me like a fair degree of "Ifs and Buts and Maybe's", which could be the company's management doing what company's management are quite good at doing .... putting the most favourable light on the company's future prospects.

Maybe some, or all of it, comes off. BUT, the only practical way of confirming that is to see how the company's future business performance is reflected in their future Quarterly financial statements, most especially, IMO, in their Income Statements.

Of course there will be those who say that's too late because any news or rumour will have already affected the stock's price. Well, that's an individual's choice.

I guess, based on the company's good, current financials, it's probably a good idea to buy some extra shares while one awaits "confirmation" of how it all pans out ......

As you say, could "be more interesting".
