Thinking about how the vast majority of California gold rush miners eventually went bust but not Levi Strauss set me on a track to find out who supplies equipment to the BTC miners, and found Caanan, Inc. (CAN), which I bought today. Up 7% and change for the day.

I know, simple-minded and stupid. But it could be huge.

LOL!

Utopians will never quit trying... and will never come to grips with the fact that people will always fight over money and power... no matter what manner of exchange you come up with... One of the key dings on BTC has always been that it facilitates crime... because privacy in transactions enables crime ? But, what do you think the source of all that conflict is... if not the exact same thing ? So, just as BTC is sold as "anonymous"... when it ensures the end of privacy... so it is sold as "fostering peace"... when it facilitates the opposite.

But, the funny part of the article is the claim that BTC is "backed by energy"... as it explains the energy required as an INPUT ? BTC is not "backed by" that which has been consumed in creating it... anymore than your food is a viable currency... fully backed by the value of what it becomes after you've eaten it.
