You literally said, regarding The Big Short:
It wasn't a book ON Obama, It was ABOUT Obama.
Your original post was/is a rhetorical statement implying blame on Obama who literally had nothing to do with The Big Short. The whole deregulated boom gained traction under Clinton pressured by rabid anti-Clinton House members and Republican Senators led by Gramm-Leach-Bliley-- and the superboom/bust reality under Bush43.

I'm sorry if you thought it was a "gotcha." It was a fact check. Not personal.

I have read six of Michael Lewis's books including this one.
But I do remember he was explaining about how the banks came to get involved in risky loaning and credit default obligations where they could not quantify the collateral, CDS, etc and . And it had to involve Obama as he was the one who had to clean it up.
That would be Michael Lewis's future children's book "Barack's Financial Disaster Cleaning and Recovery Service" not "The Big Short." :-)

One more thing, The Big Short was primarily the story of the ultimate profiteers who were truthtellers that assumed great risks and stresses before cashing. Some who posted on SI. Sometimes it's instructive to read such posts from 2004-2008. Some would say we are approaching another superboom/bust now.
