Retail prices can vary for 0 to $100 depending on where you go and the
type of product you are buying. Remember Compusa was giving away
memory for free over Christmas holidays.

David, These prices were the going rate at the time, not some kind
of loss leader. You can check out www.thechipmerchant.com for
current retail prices. The only sell cpu and memory. They don't
have loss leaders and they update their pricing every morning they
are open. They are very quick to raise their prices on DRAM price
rises. I think this is because people will make a fast raid on their
inventory if it is under priced.

If you check other sites or vendors, you will find you can buy all of
the 32 MByte SDRAM DIMMs you want for under $70.
