I totally understand your point.

So maybe a compromise is if you can afford it is to have a vacation place in another state where you split your time.

I live in NC and have many neighbors who are from NY and NJ. NC is close enough for trips but far away from the hard living.

Now we have our liberal problems here as well, but it isn't NY.

On Long Island myself for 54 years and I’m making very early plans to escape in about 2-2.5 years. Destination will more than likely be FL with an outside shot at S Carolina.

The nut jobs here can have it. I want out and will not look back.
