You might be happy staying with tc2000 for awhile. yes, programning can be complex but with the help of everyone on the team, you already have 10s of scans right now. All the tc2000 scans can be done in QP. Get requires Metastock conversion. If you are happy with your scans, now stick with it.

Chan: Most QP scans are actually quite simple to write. Some of the scans that you saw were complicated, yes, but they are efforts to do more with the program than is necessary -- efforts to do things that might better be done in Metastock or Wow. The best scans are short, to the point and not complicated. You'll find that many of the best TC2000 scans have been translated for QP2, including Richard's BBB and Breakout scans.

One of the great strengths of QP2 is that it can do fundamental scans. After working with a couple fundamental scans, you'll see how easily the scans are put together. There's a terrific group of people working on scans for QP, including many with Metastock, and everyone learns from one another.

In some ways, the more complicated scans are a sign of how easy the language of QP is to learn. The language is so adaptable, it tempts one to do more and more with it. The complicated scans are a sign of that. Don't be put off by them. They're the symptoms of someone smitten with a great program.

As for Metastock and QP, it's as if QP was designed for Metastock. They work seamlessly together. I usually start out with QP scans, charts and fundamental data, then go to MSWIN for more detailed work with custom indicators and other MSWIN features. The programs are an ideal combination -- downright symbiotic.
