TJ the T+3 is actually +4 if you sell/buy at the market open, as T is one trading day. In the meantime you have 4x24 hours of active global markets to settle your misdeeds and there are plenty of firms specializing on this narrow segment and earning a fee with physical delivery during the last hours of this window. T+3 must be shorten to T or within market hours in todays electronic markets

Liked reading bull_dozers link to Jim Rogers interview by Daniela Cambone too. Both discussions counterbalance each other with forward positive mental attitude, yet both speculation and conservative assessment of risk. Usually, oncoming battles are in some ways same as ever, but completely different from everything that went before. Advice from both young and old worthy and pertinent. imho :-)
