PHOENIX, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- AccSys Global Network Inc. is providing an
update on the Classic, the inaugural event in the Classic series of
professional golf tournaments.
The company is proceeding with its March 30th tournament and the delay in
the announcements of players and sponsors is related to a change in the site
selection.
Company President David Marr stated, "The PGA Tour recommended that if the
Classic was to be held during Tradition week, it should be held at a site
affiliated with the Tradition, which is a major championship on the Senior PGA
Tour.
"Lyle Anderson, owner of the Tradition, offered us his Superstition
Mountain course as the site for the inaugural event.
"The company reviewed this option closely and decided that if terms were
similar and there were no objections from the Raven that it would move the
March 30th event from the Raven to Superstition Mountain. This enabled us to
maintain the affiliation, while immediately securing our site for the third
event, at the Raven in late November 1998."
The company expects to round out its field and to announce its sponsors
shortly.
The company is in the process of preparing documents to file and comply
with the SEC regulations to become a fully reporting company.
The company's website can be located at www.classicseries.com.
