CONGO UPDATE FROM STARPOINT GOLDFIELDS INC.

After a successful trip to Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, first stage exploration work on Starpoint's gold and diamond concessions has begun.

While in Kinshasa, the Company opened an office for Starpoint Goldfields Congo, met with Belgian geologists, Ministry of Mines geologists and obtained access to mining records of work performed on our properties by the Bureau de Recherches Geologiques et Minieres (BRGM), France's leading specialist in the surface and subsurface geosciences. The BRGM has conducted extensive geological work in northern Democratic Republic of Congo. The more recent data, conducted post-1980 by the BRGM, will supplement the information received from the Royal Museum for Central Africa and help the company to verify drill targets as soon as possible.

Starpoint's consulting engineer, Gordon Richards, P.Eng., along with a team of Congolese geologists and a work crew, have left Kisangani to begin scheduled work on our concessions. This preliminary geological program is designed to confirm information obtained from the Royal Museum for Central Africa, Belgium and verify reports of locals mining gold and diamonds on the concessions. Samples will be assayed by an international lab in Africa. Samples will also be returned to Canada for analysis by an independent lab. Starpoint will conduct this program over a period of 4 - 6 weeks.

Shareholders and interested parties may contact the company via email at: sts@starpoint.com or toll free at 1-800-852-8885.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
