How assessment leads to remediation:
Last year Sun Oil came to TAVA to do an assessment. TAVA did the assessment and discovered that the "mission critical" problems were so dire that Sun Oil decided not to fix the problem. Instead, Sun ordered complete new process control systems from TAVA. So TAVA billed for the assessment, and got a follow-on order for $300,000 to upgrade and install new process control systems at two sites.

Unilever asked TAVA to do assessment and then tripled their Y2K budget.

TAVA makes money from:
1) CD-ROM PlantY2K One - they charge "per seat" - 80% Gross Profit Margin
2) Assessment
They are then in line to make money:
3) Fixing the problem (training customers personnel or doing themselves)
4) Providing new systems
5) Coming back later to clean up the things that are not mission critical.

There will be PLENTY of business AFTER 2000. ALL companies are in a triage mode and addressing ONLY mission critical systems at this point in time.

If you don't know what a "seat" is, check this link & scan down to link that explains "seats".
