i liked ing and it may be ok but I have come to the conclusion that these european bank are not run for the benefit of shareholder they are more like quasi governmental institutions and you are stuck with euro issues as well. for me there there are less aggravating things to own out there but good luck with it. I think i own only one european company now having sold my stake in telefonica and that is a litigation finance firm called burford capital which went up a lot today. they are reporting something tomorrow so perhaps its good news.
But over all I prefer to focus on USA and for diversification Asia. I have Softbank Baba Melco , a hongkong real estate company, a japanese construction company and fairfax india so far. I sadly got suckered out of Bidu which would have been a great gain for me but thems the breaks. My pot company cleverleaf is usa domiciled but grows their stuff in Columbia and sells to Germany, Brazil and Israel right now. they also have a smaller growing operation in Portugal. So that is somewhat Europe related. That is a straight speculation and Ive already taken some profits out and may take more and just keep a moderate position. I had another european investment that was spinoff from Honeywell. they filed chapter 11 and i exited with a small loss.

I guess hope spring eternal I still hope for big appreciation from silver and axu my silver play.
