That's the way I interpret the events. MTIC rejected an out right buyout feeling they had much more to gain over time by utilizing HIT's systems, etc., to promote their products. We'll see less of a "pop" in the short term, and a much better investment in the long term. IMO.

Hitachi is expanding storage well beyond MTIC. They've got a big deal with DEC announced today:

Nice spike on their 30 day chart, too.
