I would check FDIC liabilities. Be sitting down. Bank withdraw and transfer: FED has put in place many changes in customer money transfers between banks and customer withdraws the last several years. Reason to crank down on drug cartel money, they say. Withdraw or transfer policy nothing written in stone but left to the discretion of the banks depending on transaction history, etc. So I don't have anything on paper with procedure policy guidelines on when and what amount I can move around at will. Reaching for the Valium yet? Have money in several banks. At least two with branches. Transfer between banks for history profile. Pull cash out then deposit back. Do know transfers over $5k are reported. Want to be in the system play by their rules and I wish everyone the best of luck with that! Run on banks. Been discussed often. 2000, 07, etc. FED printed and politicians swept under the rug with policy change to protect the consumer. Confidence artificially restored. We all knew the future risk with fundamentals destroyed but there was money to be made. Don't worry! Well shit, here we are again. Only this time...... Going to vent here: Arctic blast hit Texas and a nightmare for many unfolded. My family stocked up with back-up for our back-ups but the large majority were not and suffering terribly. I have been going 14 hour days helping neighbors with water, food and plumbing. How could they not be prepared I ask myself? Went to the grocery day before storm hit. Shelves full, business as normal. Once again I ask myself, "I am going overboard here?" Don't these people know there is a massive storm coming? I tell myself this what it will be like day before at my local bank branch. Well today no water, and many shelves empty. People are desperate and almost in panic. How could they not be prepared I ask myself? Hospital reports 250 cases carbon monoxide poison. Some operating generators inside homes. Others staying warm in car with garage door down. Does society really expect me to slow down for these people? I have spent my life leading by example and doing the right thing for my employees, neighbors and friends. Never took advantage of anyone or anything in my life while standing on solid ground. Times have changed drastically now and it makes me sick to even think this.No time for deer in the headlights. Now it is survival of the fittest!
