Looks like Victory (VIP) are starting their "Ground Program". February 2, 1998 TRADING SYMBOL: VIP:VSE VIP COMMENCES GROUND EXPLORATION PROGRAM Victory Ventures Inc. (VIP:VSE) announces the commencement of a ground exploration program on the Syd claims to the north of Lesser Slave Lake. Victory Ventures has a 100% interest in these claims which are centrally located in the Buffalo Head Craton in the Province of Alberta, Canada. The program will begin with ground geophysics on the Syd 1 claim block where an airborne geophysical survey identified over 30 magnetic profiles of interest. Initial aeromag data from the Syd 2 claim block is expected the first week of February. The data will be analyzed immediately and any high priority targets may be explored in this initial ground program. Spectra Exploration has advised Victory that the airborne survey of the Syd 3 claim block should be completed in a day or two and data will be forthcoming. Once target priority is determined by the ground program, Victory intends to complete 1500 metres of core drilling on the Syd 1 to Syd 3 claim blocks to test for the possibilty of kimberlite pipes and their diamond bearing potential. The proposed drill program will require 30 days to complete and should be started by the end of the third week in February.
