na, the bump would only make me anxious. i'm ready to buy an R12K Octane the day they ship. but right now R10K 195 Impacts can be found for $7K if you look around, and only an MXI or i assume an MXE offers any noticeable speedup with Alias or Maya over the Impact. i want the next Octane for realtime silly stuff. as i'm working with a coder on a very robust MIDI controller (Yamaha O3D). the RE graphics, increased texture memory and the R12K should put the Octane in a class well beyond the Impact, and i'm ready to buy. vincent
