IMO the tax implications of MLPs are too important to ignore. Last time I looked, if a MLP is sold from a taxable account, the accumulated distributions get taxed at ordinary rates. So for high tax rate individuals, an MLP may lead to a difficult capital allocation and tax implication decisions

not saying that they can’t lead to great returns, just that there may be a bit of semi- hidden tax danger lurking.
