I posted a little cynicism over on Roger's Sorts thread.He replied that he will be long the drillers.I repect his picks.He is very astute at picking longs & shorts.He is apparently not short drillers at these prices.

The article you quote from is dated Feb 1995. More recent NY Times articles indicate 500% increase in Iraq smuggled oil in the last year alone. This would place these illegal oil shipments at least 1,000,000 bls/day even when conservatively assuming there was no increase in smuggling from 1995 to 1996.
