Big day for silver tomorrow, in the COMEX silver futures market, with options expiration at the close of trading. Consensus seems to be that they'll have to hammer (manipulate) silver down to the $27.50 level to best bracket the manipulated / pre-coordinated options distribution, with heavy clusters around $28 and $27... which makes it inconvenient to have silver futures trading above $28, since that means banks losing money on their short positions. Thus, everyone will be watching to see them manipulate the trade tomorrow...

Options traders noting that it would probably prove "interesting" if silver holds above $28, while also worth noting that there is a negative skew in the market now... where the lower strikes have the higher implied volatility. That's the norm in equities, but in futures the skew is normally positive...Either way, at expiration the differences in volatility have to converge, with difference in prices of the options converging too. Normally, in trading the skew, you'd straddle the volatility by selling higher volatility and buying lower volatility... It suggests, with a positive skew, selling the lower strikes and buying the higher ones... perhaps biasing the trade toward a settlement nearer the higher strike.

That says... silver should hammered tomorrow, down to $27.50, due to the routine in market manipulation... but the options trade is suggesting the opposite might be happening... perhaps with silver going higher tomorrow instead. It appears there's going to be a battle... but if there weren't a settlement tomorrow, you'd just expect to see higher prices.

Here's a couple of futures options traders trying hard to not quite say that...

Previewing tomorrow’s COMEX silver options expiration

So, tomorrow is probably a good day to pre-plan for the manipulation... and put in a few low ball bids on those shares you want to buy, which might clear when others sell theirs because of the surprise at the "silver price suddenly falling dramatically" tomorrow...

On the other hand... what if it doesn't happen ? The trade was at $28.11 while they filmed the video... closed at $28.04... but the market is open again now...

E-mini Silver Futures,Mar-2021 (QI=F) trading at $28.24 x $28.26 right now
