there was an article in the saturday San Diego Union Tribune about Lidak. It doesn't have much news value but might be entertaining. It can be found via the archive.

I spoke to Daniel Neveau at HealthMed last week. He was not paricularly talkative but did say a few things I found interesting. On the subject of HealthMed he decribed it as a "formation of several wealthy individuals who have historically participated together in acquiring shares of various pharmaceuticals and healthcare companies and have recently joined together to form HealthMed to take a more positive role in the acquisition of stock in the same field". He later added "We are looking to make an extensive acquisition of stock in Lidak and therefore have used HealthMed to do it". Regarding NCFE he decribed them as a financial organization "we brought to the table to provide the funding and the guarantee of the funding so that there would be no question from a financial perspective that the money was available".
