I honestly don’t think the Framers could have envisaged a system where partisans would consider voting rights as unworthy of protecting, yet, that’s where we find ourselves. We do find ourselves there. I suppose it all started when former slaves were given the vote and it persists today albeit in different form. There seems to be a further round of voter suppression in the works in Republican state houses. It is, indeed, a sorry situation. And a dangerous one. Your support of it is inexcusable.
