Iran, the border, and kids in cages are, relatively speaking, wallpaper. For four years we had an assault on what McCain often referred to as regular order. Those chips off the Constitution were bad enough (and extensively discussed hereabouts). Those four sorry years of cavalier disregard for the rule of law had quite a finale--an attempt to overthrow an election and block the peaceful transition of power. The attempt was dramatized by an insurrection, for heaven's sake. I would not have thought it necessary at this late date to justify my obvious statement.
