I'd like to know what happened to your ideas about the rule of law.Because Biden is not living by it. Another bald assertion. Like the one claiming that Biden had gone all autocrat. I see no evidence of either. And I am, indeed, sensitive to both the rule of law and authoritarianism. Examples, if you have any. Were you a supporter of the 25th Amendment against Trump? I think that would have been the tidiest way to get rid of the immediate threat out of office. Can't say I was advocating for it, though. Uncharted territory and all that. Do you think a national $15 minimum wage is sane? Definitely sane. It's well within the range of human normalcy and mainstream economic thought. Optimal policy to advance, maybe not so much. I would not have gone that high. What about pressing people to get vaccinations while claiming that you STILL need to "wear masks" and avoid gatherings with family and friends after having done so? Seems obvious to me. Even if it weren't, it's too minor to make a federal case out of. It's not like they have big brother enforcing it. Do you think these are good decisions? It's not about this decision or that decision. It's about normalcy, the absence of recklessness, about being constructive, about governance rather than quirk and whimsy, about being presidential. For four years I checked this site every day: whatthefuckjusthappenedtoday.com Hardly a day went by when there wasn't something wacky happening. I don't have to check anymore. I'm on autopilot. Whether I favor or dislike what Biden may have done, I know for certain it won't be crazy. The Earth will remain on its axis. Peace of mind is such a lovely change of pace.
