Baird: Any ideas why the poor movement today? I watched twenty other stocks soar. More I suppose as I changed them occassionally. I was expecting a better reaction.

I heard even more important message regarding prices in the cc. The advanced stepper prices are going up (someone posted and ASMLF quote on this topic earlier) and I believe CYMI is also begining to price their product based on its value to the customers and not its cost to manufacture.

Remember the request for price on new laser models in the cc?

CYMI was reluctant to discuss since it was not yet announced in pulic domain. The important message I heard was the chuckle by CYMI "... or accepted by customer". IMO this is a company that provides a strategic product with market dominance and is begining to price accordingly ( see KLAC as another example). If true, this is great for us as long as they keep delivering superior technology (new products), manufacturing capacity, and service support. ASP's can esculate in that environment (although it attracts competitors).

I also hope that the emphasis on service is being taken as a strategic move against competitors. A global service organisation presents a tremendous barrier for competitors. I hope thats what they are doing.
Any comments?
