Well, you can check the financial statements and SEC documents for yourself, but from what I can see, they lost around 8M last year which would be 2M/Q rather than the 5 your broker suggests. They are taking in about 60MM/year at current rates and growing nicely. They say they will have enough money to get through Sept of 1998. They may have to do a small financing at that time. However, this company has SO MANY good irons in the fire, that I don't think there is anyway they can lose in the longer run. Just recently they announced work on a malaria vaccine of all things. Numerous partners who will continue to fund them more and more. And they are right on the cutting edge of science. They've got a deal with the folks (ACT) who just announced an improved cloning process, demonstrated by a couple of calves---before long they will have uniform milking cows bred precisely for high volume and purity and uniformity. It is a long term play and you might have some time to wait for your price, but I think for a development stage biotech, it is a unique and compelling buy, even though I don;t own any at the moment. As for going broke, did your broker really use that language? If so, I would consider another--these guys will NOT go broke--they will do an offering of 1 or 2 MM shares. They can always borrow from GENZ, who will definitely not let them go broke. Nor will GENZ gobble up all the GZTC shareholders profits. These guys have a market cap of 200MM and partnerships with many of the big pharms--they are entering more partnerships as rapidly as they wish--everyone is signing on--when they get their first product through P3, stand back and lookout. They will not go broke. LOL. Go to the Genzyme website and read the releases for the last year--check out their partners and the kind of money they are contributing. This is a hell of a lot more than a "concept" Dan. This is an ongoing revolution in the large scale production of medicinal human proteins through animals. And the revolution will soon have completed P3!genzyme.com This has been a paid advertisement by the Genzyme Transgenics Joker (:>)
