I've been out of RECY for a while, but got back in today at 5 1/2.

A few questions about earnings...lessons from PHV

To all RECY followers,
You make the comment that earnings are expected to be favorable and the stock should move on this news. How much of a dillutive effect did the Mindis acquisition have on the company? This was a huge acquisition(size wise) compared to the previous accretive acquisitions. Also, I am very interested to see how in-line the company's restructuring estimates are going to be. I know there are numerous cost savings associated with the acquisitions, but there is a large change to your infrastructure when you grow from $25 million in revenues to $1 billion. I find the PHV situation very interesting. PHV was paying top dollar for the top companies in the industry. The companies that they were purchasing were considered to be some of the most respected. RECY was not paying as much for more "middle of the road" companies. They are good but not considered the best...(I make this comment knowing there are several players out there all paying big money and RECY is buying companies the cheapest). This tells me that RECY is going to have to spend a little dough to get the whole operation together. PHV has a very established corporate structure, whereas RECY is keeping on the old management...this is good for the short-term, but is it good long-term.
Also, is RECY doing anything to hedge against a downturn in scrap prices. Yes, scrap prices are at an all time high, but a change in the market could prove to be disasterous in trying to pay off a large debt!!! Just a few thoughts...I would love to hear responses from everyone!!!!!!

Alan

my finger on it, but something is wrong. Financials, business plan and all seem OK, even the TA, but
something is WRONG, but what?<<

Interesting. That's why I bailed. This market's really hard on small stocks right now.

>>>I'm a little worried. The market is blasting into outerspace and RECY is trending down. I thought
it would have at least stayed even!! Comments?<<<

Walt:

RECY reacts to its own fundamentals... As RECY nears the second Qtr, the anticipation should be for
good numbers... That should move the price up regardless of market conditions... After the first Qtr,
RECY will have enough of a base to take advantage of the Economies of Scale... RECY is an
investment, not a trade...
