My uncle was a racist.

A really bad one.

I didn't know what racism was as a child.

As a child, I loved my uncle.

It wasn't until I was old enough to understood what racism is that I realized he was a racist.

Once I realized it, I said fuck him.

I think a racist fuck you is almost always retroactive, because a racist has always been a racist, he didn't just start being one when you figured it out.
