FUBHO: re: content more offensive Ditto. I have received that ad several times this morning. It tends to produce the opposite effect than what is intended by the ad. I think most frequent internet users (like us chat thread enthusiasts) have "trained" their eyes to ignore intrusive/superfluous ads like the ones that appear on a page's right and left borders. Or, if we have not "trained" our eyes, then we at least become insensitive to the ads. I typically don't even notice them. But, when the ad covers a large portion of the vertical content, which usually contains the info I'm looking for, those ads really irritate me. The good news is (I think) SI is taking affirmative action towards having those ads suppressed. Sure is a pretty day. TED
