The origin of team sports ?

"humans are at the top of the food chain"

Our food, now, has been bred to be docile... cooperative on the way to the meat packers... and fully industrialized.

But, cows didn't used to be docile... note the effort being made in Europe to recover the genetics of the Aurochs, the fierce original European stock ? Having once watched a bull fight gone awry, in which a bull killed three people... I question the need...

The wild, extinct supercow returning to Europe

Whether or not humans are at the top of the food chain... almost entirely a question of humans remaining in environments created of, by and for humans. Sharks and Killer Whales and Giant Squid might have different opinions... worth paying attention to... before entering their domains.

The American West, too, now has people being subjected to the reintroduction of Grizzly Bears and Cougars... and the population of American Bison is on the rise... leaving the people facing them in the borderlands between cities and wilderness with new reason for concern... with an accelerated thinning in the herd of tourists by Bison and Bears clearly working as Mr. Darwin advised it might. My suggestion that we can't attain any real balance with nature until we reintroduce them to Central Park in New York and Golden Gate Park in San Francisco... thus far unheeded...
