I stopped by and used the coinstar machine just outside of Boston
at Star market in Dorchester. It was easy to use and worked quite
well. I do have one concern. I spoke with the kid about the machine
he said it was very popular but it brea ks down all the time and the manager needs to fix it. These machines are all brand new. What
are the break down rates going to be when these machines are
2 years old? Sounds like alot of moving parts in there. When I was
a kid I worked in a game room so I learned to fix pinball and video
games. We also had a coin counter machine which was very
heavy duty but needed to be opened up to fix when coins got
stuck which they did often. Not sure busy store managers are going
to like opening up these machines unless they see a real benefit
to the store.

I'm long and like the stock but wanted to share what I have seen.

The store in queens n.y. has two machines that are processing a total of 80,000.00 It is a big mystery for some reason as to what the stores get out of the 7.5%.

On Yahoo there is a space for messages (msg) when you look at the profile of a company.

A series of the messages comes from an employee of a store w/the machine. His report regarding several of the stores is very positive.
