My reference to Jordan Peterson was just as another example of people wanting to attack without understanding what their targets actually write and say.

The infamous one in Jordan's case was the woman tv interviewer who kept putting incorrect words in his mouth = "So you're saying blah blah blah..." when he very clearly didn't. She was full derangement syndrome.

Another case is TDS. There are still people who think Russia Russia Russia, that Trump wasn't wiretapped, that Trump said Nazis are fine people, that he incited murder in Congress, etc etc ... it's interesting to see their brains malfunction.

Same thing with Ayn.

I had not heard of her until 1995. I read Atlas Shrugged. I agree with you. And add that Russian was her main language so I assumed that was why her writing was plain. It didn't read like great literature to me, and her ideas were what I'd arrived at from my own experiences and thinking.

It's not as though she invented quantum mechanics, relativity theory, Fourier transforms and mobile Cyberspace.

For example, the non initiation of force principle is pretty much common sense. Easy to invent that. Same with private property etc.
